大洋彼岸的家乡来信

Phillip my son, it has been 18 long months since you have gone, I count the months, weeks and days that your beautiful soul left us.

你的家人每天都在想念你，我们的悲伤永远不会离开。

As I write this letter my tears fall like rain, as they do each and every day, your mother and I walk around in shock and denial, this is now normal for us. Our love for you is eternal.

你的死给我们留下了永远无法愈合的伤口。

Your mother regularly recalls how she would listen to you practising your guitar when you were in your bedroom, the gentle strumming and songs you would play were very soothing and relaxing to her. This is something she missed when you were teaching English in China and will miss forever.

菲利普，我知道你有多喜欢弹吉他。

Your electric and acoustic guitars have pride of place in your bedroom>Phil, I always feel your presence around me, even though you are not there, I hear you talk to me, sometimes guide me, even though you are not there, you visit me often in my dreams when I sleep and talk to me, just as I always visit you in a garden that is now your home.

妈妈和我想念你一直以来厚颜无耻的笑容和你古怪的幽默感，我们再也不能像过去那样把你抱在怀里亲吻你或感受你的温暖了。

As I walk around the home that you grew up in, I look lovingly at all of the pictures we have of you, our constant reminder of our beautiful son and brother, gone at such a young age.

菲尔，我日夜都带着这首关于你的诗。

Phillip, at You truly had a heart of gold

我知道我得等一会儿

Until I see your beautiful smile.

菲利普，你的一部分还活在5个器官接受者身上，他们接受了你能给予的最珍贵的礼物。你永远不会从我们的记忆中消失，也不会从你赋予新生命和希望的人的记忆中消失。

The 5 organ recipients are members of our family now, and I know that they love you and want to celebrate your life almost as much as we do, they have formed a wonderful musical group called “One Man’s Band” in your honour and as a tribute to you, your generosity and your love of music and playing the guitar.

我们确信这支乐队会非常高兴，在演奏和表演音乐时会像你一直做的那样找到快乐和乐趣。

Our family sincerely hope that the One Man’s Band members, will all live a long, healthy and happy life.

菲利普，我们所有的爱都献给你，我的王子，来自妈妈，爸爸，你的弟弟米切尔和妹妹米兰达。

▲菲利普家族唯一的全家福

当得知接受儿子捐献器官挽救的5位移植受者为了完成菲利普的音乐梦想组成了“一个人的乐队”，彼得先生按捺不住自已激动的心情，连夜写了一封家书。

这封充满思念和深情的电子邮件，是重庆市红十字会工作人员漂洋过海寄给中国的。现在，菲利普已经离开大家17个月了。彼得和他的妻子每天去收拾他们儿子的房间，所有的家具都保持原样。房间的墙上有菲利普生平的照片和一幅中国画，床头放着重庆市红十字会的“红心人”玩偶，窗台上静静地摆放着他生前弹奏的几把吉他和一位中国画家画的菲利普画像。彼得神父的手机里还保存着菲利普一生的所有照片和视频文件，是一家人看儿子照片、玩视频最开心的时候。

在2019年全国人体器官捐献纪念宣传活动中，我们邀请了菲利普的父母跨越国界，千里迢迢。菲利普的父母看到儿子睡在这里，照片中彼得亲吻了儿子，很痛苦。

为了让儿子永远在自己身边，彼得神父把儿子的爱深深埋在心里，把菲利普的名字和肖像刻在手臂上，甚至还一起刻上了儿子最喜欢的吉他。

这个圣诞节，大家都没有忘记这个阳光帅气的小伙子。福寿园的志愿者来到重庆人体器官捐献纪念园菲利普专用纪念碑前，向他献花，感谢他像圣诞老人一样慷慨的礼物。“一人乐队”的成员也通过红十字会向遥远的海洋送去了感激和祝福。

重庆市红十字会的工作人员把纪念公园里一年四季的花草树木照片发给了菲利普的父亲，老人激动不已。他在回信中说:

你对我们美丽的儿子表现出的尊重和尊严得到了他的家人和朋友的赞赏。

It is very comforting to us knowing that this site is so well maintained and cared for.

我希望将来有一天能再次参观这座纪念碑。

I don't know if you celebrate Christmas there, today is our Christmas day in Australia, so let my family wish you and your family a very merry Christmas.
